July 2002 Update Greetings from hot NYC! First I'd like to thank everyone for participating in this site. I had no idea it would be this busy. Thanks for your support! Everything has been going great with The Manhattan Transfer. The music is fun and the singers are wonderful to work with. I just returned from a four day jazz fest tour with them. We hit Ann Arbor, MI, Montreal, and Saratoga. On the recording front this month, I'm recording a five song development demo with Neshama Carlebach. This will showcase all of her English pop material for MCA records. The last recording I did with her of the Hebrew material, should be out this fall. Then I'll be in Europe with The Manhattan Transfer for the rest of the month. Be sure to check out "da groove house" message board for pics from the road, various live recordings, and the latest news. Feel free to ask me questions, and I will try to answer at my earliest convenience. Right now you can check out a live bootleg from Manhattan Vibes live at The 55 Bar in NYC. This month's road reading is "Napalm and Silly Putty" by George Carlin and "The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey. I'm also checking out "Conversations in Clave" by Horacio Hernandez, and working on the pad out of Polyrhythms by Peter Magadini. All are great. I highly recommend them. That's all for now.
