Hey everyone,

Hope you had a wonderful winter.

Here's the latest bit of news. More of the same, touring, recording, etc. HA!

I'm writing you from Santa Barbara CA where I have a little downtime before the sessions and touring begin once again. The John Scofield Europe/Asia tour just came to end April 5th and I immediately went into rehearsal with Janis Siegel for some dates in the states including Regatta Bar in Boston and Birdland in NYC. We are supporting her new release on Telarc featuring myself, Edsel Gomez, John Benitez and many other latin jazz musicians on the NYC scene.

I will also be out on tour once again with the The Manhattan Transfer. They have been gracious enough to take me back after missing two tours due to my Scofield schedule. As you can see above I have been lucky enough to somehow get into the studio and record with some great artists between road gigs.

Although I love teaching, it has not been a priority of mine due to all the other work that has been coming in. I am however taking on some students whenever I'm in LA and NYC for more than a few days at a time and also while on the road. This upcoming tour with Janis Siegel has multiple days in Vienna, London, Milan, Pisa, and Istanbul. If you live in these cities and would like a lesson please email me. I may also be teaching through various schools.

The June issue of Modern Drummer featuring me in "Portraits" is hitting news stands on May 3rd.

Currently, for the next day I will be enjoying fine food, wine, scotch and cigars on my mini vacation. :-)
