January 2003 Update HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! With Chick Corea at The Blue Note I'd like to start this off with a BIG thank you to the entire staff at The Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC. I was there for a total of six nights with The Manhattan Transfer, and then again on New Years eve opening for Chick Corea with The Miri Ben-Ari Group. The treatment was just great. Thanks again for everything!! I'd also like thank everyone involved with 2002's Manhattan Transfer world tour. It was a fun year, and you're all a pleasure to work with. We had fun. January is supposed to be a month for chilling, but there are still a few notable musical events. On the live tip, I will be doing weekly gigs all month with Manhattan Vibes, and The Mann Made Band. Also, I'll be hitting The John Benitez Band, Hugh Wilson, and I will be making appearances at the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA 1/16-1/19. On the recording side, I have just informed that Ravi Coltrane's Mad Six will be released in the U.S on Columbia records in April. Also, SWING featuring The Manhattan Transfer and John Pizzarelli with The Cincinatti Pops, is also due out this March. And lastly, I'm very excited to be recording with great Middle Eastern/pop artist SMIDAR this month. I will keep you posted on the release date. This month also brings updates throughout the site.
